The first period began with both teams showcasing solid defense and goaltending as neither side managed to find the back of the net. The deadlock was broken in the second period when the Jets scored twice to take a commanding lead. The Coyotes responded with one goal to narrow down their deficit but couldn't capitalize further despite their efforts.

Winnipeg's performance was underpinned by their powerplay success; they converted one out of two opportunities and demonstrated superior faceoff skills throughout the game, winning 63 percent of all faceoffs taken. Their shooting accuracy was also noteworthy as they recorded an 8 percent shooting percentage compared to Arizona's 5 percent.

On defense, both teams were almost equally matched with Winnipeg blocking nine shots and Arizona ten. However, it was Winnipeg's goaltender who shone brighter by saving 20 out of 21 shots for an impressive save percentage of approximately 95 percent.

Arizona's only goal came during even strength play where they managed to put up sixteen shots on goal but found success just once. Their powerplay unit struggled against Winnipeg’s defense and failed to convert any of their three chances into goals.

As for individual performances from Winnipeg players, there were six points scored collectively including four assists which played a pivotal role in securing victory for their team. It is these collective efforts that often make or break games and this time it steered them towards triumph.
