The Winnipeg Jets entered the game with determination but were unable to convert their efforts into points on the scoreboard. Despite taking a total of 38 shots throughout the game, they managed to find the back of the net just once. This lone goal came during a powerplay opportunity in which they capitalized on one out of four chances with nine shots taken during these moments.

The powerplay success was one bright spot for Winnipeg as they demonstrated efficiency by winning eight out of nine faceoffs in these situations and maintaining an impressive faceoff win percentage of 89 percent overall for powerplays. However, even strength play told a different story; despite taking 29 shots, no goals were produced and they won only 54 percent of faceoffs.

Defensively, Winnipeg's goaltender faced significant pressure from Toronto's offense. He made 23 saves but allowed three goals against him while playing at even strength and one more when facing an empty net situation – resulting in a save percentage around 85 percent for all situations combined.

On Toronto's side, their offensive execution was notably more effective as evidenced by their shooting percentage which stood at nearly 15 percent. Their goaltender had an outstanding night between the pipes with an impressive save percentage close to 97 percent after stopping all but one shot out of thirty-eight attempts by Winnipeg.
