In their last game on February 26 against the Arizona Coyotes, WPG showcased their resilience by securing a victory in overtime. Despite not scoring in the third period, they managed to clinch the win with an impressive three goals in the first period and one during overtime. This victory was backed by a solid goaltending performance that saw 29 saves and an overall save percentage of 100 percent.

The offensive prowess of WPG was evident as they achieved a shooting percentage of 12 percent with four goals out of 32 shots. Their powerplay unit capitalized on opportunities by scoring two goals during three chances, demonstrating efficiency when it mattered most. Moreover, WPG's faceoff win percentage stood at 54 percent – an area where they've consistently shown strength.

WPG's previous encounter before this win was equally commendable. On February 24 against Chicago Blackhawks, despite being away from home turf, they emerged victorious with three points secured through sheer determination and skillful playmaking.

However, it is essential not to overlook SEA's capabilities as well. In their last game against Minnesota Wild on February 21st at Canada Life Centre, WPG displayed an offensive masterclass by netting six goals from just thirty shots – translating into an astounding shooting percentage of twenty percent! Their powerplay contributions were significant too; two goals came from four opportunities which could be pivotal against SEA’s defense.

Looking ahead to March 9th’s matchup between these two formidable teams - one can't help but lean towards optimism for WPG based on recent form and statistics alone. The Jets have shown time and again that they can rise to the occasion under pressure while maintaining composure across all periods.

The scheduled puck drop is set for March 9th at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle – fans won’t want to miss this high-octane battle!
