Winnipeg Jets Eye Another Victory at Home Against Ottawa Senators

As the Winnipeg Jets prepare to host the Ottawa Senators at Canada Life Centre, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying matchup. The Jets have been on a formidable run, and their recent performances suggest they're not ready to slow down.

In their last game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on March 17, the Jets dominated with a staggering 6-1 victory. Their offense was relentless, hammering in goals and maintaining a shooting accuracy of 22 percent. With six different players lighting the lamp and an even-strength goal tally that overwhelmed Columbus, it's clear that Winnipeg's depth is one of its greatest assets.

The powerplay unit didn't find success in that game but considering their previous performance against Anaheim Ducks on March 16 where they converted three out of three opportunities, it's evident that this aspect of their game can be lethal when clicking. A perfect faceoff win percentage during powerplays from that game is something the Senators will need to disrupt if they hope to contain the Jets' special teams.

Defensively, Winnipeg has been just as impressive. The goaltending has been rock-solid with save percentages holding steady at 100 percent across those two games – an intimidating statistic for any team facing them next.

However, it would be unwise to underestimate the Ottawa Senators who have shown resilience and skill throughout their season. Despite falling short in overtime against Nashville Predators on March 13 with a scoreline of 4-2 in favor of Nashville, they've demonstrated they can hold their own even when under pressure.

The upcoming clash will test both teams' mettle but based on recent performances; it seems likely that WPG will maintain control over OTT through sheer firepower and defensive prowess. The Senators will need more than just determination to break through Winnipeg's robust defense and high-flying offense.

Fans should mark their calendars for this exciting encounter scheduled for March 30th at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg (MB), starting at 6:00 PM CT. Those unable to attend can catch all the action live via ESPN+ internet broadcast network – ensuring no one misses out on what could be another showcase event for the surging Winnipeg Jets.
