Nikolaj Ehlers was undoubtedly the star of the night for the Winnipeg Jets, netting three goals and adding an assist to lead his team to victory. Eric Comrie's goaltending was another highlight for Winnipeg; he saved 20 out of 22 shots faced, maintaining a perfect save percentage during even strength play and contributing significantly to his team's success on defense.


On the other side of the ice, Columbus struggled to find an answer for Winnipeg's offense despite putting up two goals themselves. Their goaltender faced an onslaught from Winnipeg's attackers but managed to make 38 saves throughout the night.

Player Performances


Aside from Ehlers' standout performance with four points (three goals and one assist), several other players made significant contributions for Winnipeg. Josh Morrissey not only scored but also played crucial minutes on defense alongside Neal Pionk and Dylan Samberg who were instrumental in maintaining pressure on Columbus' forwards.


Gabriel Vilardi also found himself on the scoresheet with one goal from three shots taken during his time on ice which added depth scoring for Winnipeg – something that has been key in their early-season success.
