Game Highlights

The game was an exhibition of Winnipeg's balanced attack and tight defense. The Jets opened strongly in the first period with three goals, setting a pace that the Canucks struggled to match. Continuing their momentum into the second period with two more goals before adding a final one in the third period, Winnipeg left no doubt about their dominance on ice.

Kyle Connor was particularly outstanding for Winnipeg, netting three goals from just three shots—an impressive shooting percentage of 100 percent—alongside an assist. His performance earned him one of the game's star selections. Gabriel Vilardi also made significant contributions with three assists and a plus-minus rating of +3, highlighting his impact on both ends of the ice.

Connor Hellebuyck’s goaltending was another cornerstone for Winnipeg's success; he saved 23 out of 24 shots faced, maintaining an almost perfect save percentage throughout the game. This defensive solidity limited Vancouver to only one goal late in the third period despite several attempts to penetrate Winnipeg’s net.

Looking Ahead

The upcoming schedule sees Winnipeg hosting Seattle Kraken at Canada Life Centre on January 16th at 8:00 PM EDT. Fans can catch this action live on ESPN+, KHN TV or KONG TV networks as both teams prepare to face off in what promises to be an exciting matchup.
