On special teams play, both teams struggled to capitalize on powerplay opportunities; however, it was Winnipeg’s even-strength play that truly set them apart. Scoring all four goals during even-strength situations underscored their ability to dominate play without relying on man advantages.

Kyle Connor stood out among his teammates by notching a goal and an assist for a total of two points during this matchup. His fifty percent shooting accuracy highlighted his efficiency in converting opportunities into scores.

Cole Perfetti also deserves mention for scoring once from just one shot attempt—showcasing precision when it mattered most—and Mason Appleton added another tally to his season stats by scoring once off three attempts.


Defensively Neal Pionk contributed significantly without finding himself on the score sheet but making sure his presence was felt through hits and blocked shots which played a crucial part in maintaining Winnipeg’s lead throughout various stages of the game.
