First Period

The Jets set the tone right from the start, scoring three goals in the first period. Neal Pionk was instrumental in this offensive surge, contributing significantly to his team's early lead. His performance earned him recognition as one of the game's stars. The Flames managed to score once during this period but were unable to match the intensity displayed by their opponents.

Second Period

The second period saw a more balanced play between both teams. While neither team scored initially, it was Nikita Chibrikov who broke through for Winnipeg with a crucial goal that extended their lead further. Calgary struggled to capitalize on opportunities despite having several powerplay chances throughout this segment.

Third Period

In an attempt to mount a comeback during the third period, Calgary added another goal but fell short as they couldn't close down Winnipeg's defense effectively enough for additional scores. Eric Comrie stood tall between posts for Winnipeg with key saves that thwarted any potential rally by Calgary late into regulation time.

Overall statistics reveal how well-rounded performances contributed towards securing victory; notably impressive faceoff wins (60 percent) coupled alongside efficient shooting accuracy (14 percent). These factors played pivotal roles within determining final outcomes favorably towards hosting side - something reflected clearly via comprehensive "Winnipeg Jets vs Calgary Flames full match report."
