First Period


The game began with a strong start from the home team. The Utah Mammoth took an early lead by scoring two goals in this period. The Jets struggled to find their rhythm and were unable to score, despite having several opportunities. Their defense was tested as they faced 22 shots on goal throughout the game.


Second Period


In this period, Winnipeg managed to get on the scoreboard with a powerplay goal. Kyle Connor was instrumental in this effort, showcasing his shooting skills by converting one of his six shots into a goal. However, Utah responded with another goal of their own, maintaining their lead over Winnipeg.

Third Period


The third period saw an impressive comeback attempt by the Jets. They scored two goals during this time frame, thanks to contributions from Mark Scheifele and Morgan Barron who each added points through assists and goals respectively. Despite these efforts and winning more faceoffs than their opponents (27 out of 53), they could not secure victory within regulation time.


Overtime


As overtime commenced, both teams were eager for victory but it was Clayton Keller from Utah who sealed it with an overtime goal that left fans at Delta Center cheering loudly for their team’s triumph over Winnipeg's valiant effort.
