First Period

The opening period saw the Jets take an early lead with a goal from Alex Iafallo, who capitalized on his only shot of the period. Despite being outshot by Anaheim, Winnipeg managed to hold onto their slim advantage as they headed into intermission.

Second Period

In the second period, both teams found themselves on equal footing as each scored once. Elias Salomonsson added another goal for Winnipeg with his precise shooting ability. However, Anaheim responded with a powerplay goal that kept them within striking distance.

Third Period

The third period was action-packed and pivotal for both sides. The Jets managed to score twice more through efforts from Kyle Connor and Gabriel Vilardi. Connor's performance stood out as he notched an assist alongside his goal contribution. Yet, it was not enough to fend off a determined Ducks team that netted three goals in this segment alone.

Overtime

As overtime commenced, tensions were high with both teams eager for victory. Unfortunately for Winnipeg fans, it was Chris Kreider of Anaheim who sealed their fate by scoring during this decisive phase—earning him recognition as one of the game's stars.

Despite valiant efforts from players like Cole Perfetti and Logan Stanley—each contributing two assists—the Jets fell short in securing victory against an equally formidable opponent such as Anaheim’s Mighty Ducks squadron at Honda Center.
