Analyzing the team's recent performance reveals a mixed bag of results but also highlights several promising trends. In their last three games, the Blue Jays have shown a commendable ability to get on base and drive in runs, with a notable performance that included nine hits and nine runs scored against the Angels. This offensive prowess is backed by solid hitting statistics, including an impressive .242 batting average and a .366 on-base percentage (OBP) in one of these games. Furthermore, their slugging percentage (SLG) stood out at .636, indicating their potential for extra-base hits and home run capabilities.

Pitching has been another area where the Blue Jays have excelled. Their pitchers have managed to keep opponents' batting averages low (.111 OBA in one game), demonstrating effective control and strikeout abilities. The bullpen has contributed significantly as well, maintaining an ERA of 2.0 over nine innings pitched in one instance.

However, it's not just about offense or pitching; fielding plays a crucial role too. The Blue Jays have shown they can hold their own defensively with a fielding percentage nearing perfection (.976 FPCT). This defensive reliability will be crucial as they navigate the challenges posed by Wrigley Field's unique dimensions and conditions.

Wrigley Field itself adds another layer of excitement to this matchup. Known for its historic charm and unpredictable wind patterns that can change the course of fly balls dramatically, playing here requires teams to adapt quickly. The Blue Jays will need to leverage both their power-hitting capabilities and strategic play if they wish to come out on top against the Cubs.
