Spencer Steer

Spencer Steer is a right-handed hitting MLB infielder/outfielder born December 7, 1997, in Long Beach, California. A Millikan High School product, he played college baseball at Oregon before being selected in the 3rd round (12th pick) of the 2019 MLB Draft. Steer made his MLB debut on September 2, 2022. In 2023, Steer produced a .271 batting average with a .356 on-base percentage and .820 OPS across 156 games, totaling 23 home runs, 86 RBI, and 63 extra-base hits. In 2024, he added 20 home runs and 92 RBI while stealing 25 bases, posting a .319 OBP and .721 OPS in 158 games. In 2025, he hit 21 home runs with 75 RBI over 146 games, with a .723 OPS. During the 2026 regular season sample provided (80 games), Steer recorded 13 home runs, 34 RBI, a .238 average, .314 OBP, and .734 OPS. Statcast measures in that span included an 89.4 mph average launch speed and an average home run distance of 394 feet. Defensively in 2026, he logged time at 1B, 2B, 3B, LF, and RF, with a .987 fielding percentage overall.
