On the mound for Toronto was José Berríos who earned his seventh win of the season thanks to his stellar performance over seven innings pitched where he maintained an ERA of 2.571 and struck out eight batters while only allowing two earned runs.


The Yankees struggled to find their rhythm against Toronto's pitchers throughout this matchup. They managed only three hits against Toronto’s aggressive pitching staff which included Bowden Francis from bullpen contributing significantly by maintaining an ERA of 0.0 across two innings pitched.
