Sixth Inning

As both teams continued to vie for control, it was not until the sixth inning that another run crossed home plate. The Mets edged ahead with one more run thanks to strategic hitting and taking advantage of an error from Toronto's defense.

Seventh Inning

The seventh inning added another layer of complexity to this tightly contested game when New York extended their lead further by scoring yet another run. Despite being down, Toronto's bullpen worked diligently to limit further damage and keep them within striking distance.

Ninth Inning

In what turned out to be a dramatic ninth inning, José Berríos led Toronto's pitching efforts but could not prevent New York from maintaining their slim advantage. The Blue Jays mounted a valiant comeback attempt as they scored one final run; however, it proved insufficient against New York’s resilient defense.

Despite falling short at home against formidable opposition like New York’s squadron today – there are still positives gleaned from this encounter which will undoubtedly fuel future performances throughout upcoming fixtures such as those scheduled versus Yankees next week here again back inside familiar surroundings come February 24th starting promptly around lunchtime (1:07 PM EDT) broadcast live via Gotham Sports App network channel!
