Mariners' Late Rally Falls Short as Orioles Edge Out Victory

The Seattle Mariners faced off against the Baltimore Orioles at T-Mobile Park in a closely contested game that ended with the Orioles securing a narrow victory. The Mariners, now holding a 32-28 record, were unable to capitalize on their opportunities, ultimately falling short with a final score of 3-2. Meanwhile, the Orioles improved their standing to 24-36.

First Inning


The game began with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Mariners managed just one hit in the first inning while keeping the Orioles hitless. Seattle's starting pitcher demonstrated control and precision, allowing only two walks and striking out six batters over five and two-thirds innings.


Fourth Inning


In the fourth inning, Seattle finally broke through when Randy Arozarena drove in a run with one of his three hits for the night. This gave the M’s an early lead and ignited hope among fans at T-Mobile Park. However, Baltimore responded quickly in subsequent innings.

Sixth Inning


The sixth inning saw both teams adding runs to their tally. The O's tied it up with a solo home run off Mariners' starter Emerson Hancock who had been solid until that point. Despite this setback, Hancock maintained an impressive ERA of 1.588 during his outing.


Seventh Inning


Baltimore took advantage of Seattle’s bullpen struggles in the seventh inning by scoring two more runs on just one hit but capitalizing on three walks issued by relievers Carlos Vargas and Gabe Speier whose combined ERA stood at 18 after this performance.

Ninth Inning


Heading into what would be their final chance at bat trailing by one run (3-2), Julio Rodríguez led off for Emerald City showing resilience as he reached base safely twice throughout this matchup; however despite efforts from teammates like Cal Raleigh who boasted an OPS of 1.25 across four plate appearances including two hits – they couldn’t muster enough offense against Baltimore’s closing pitchers who shut down any comeback attempts effectively sealing victory for themselves leaving fans yearning more from hometown heroes come next showdown scheduled June fifth back here same venue where MASN2 will broadcast live coverage starting time set fifteen forty Eastern Daylight Time sharp!
