In a closely contested game at Comerica Park, the Baltimore Orioles faced off against the Detroit Tigers. The Orioles, now standing at 10-15, were narrowly defeated by the Tigers with a final score of 4-3. This result improved the Tigers' record to 16-10.

Orioles' Offensive Struggles

The Orioles managed to accumulate 11 hits throughout the game but struggled to convert these into runs. Despite their efforts, they only managed to score in three separate innings. Ramón Urías was a standout performer for Baltimore, hitting an impressive .750 average and contributing one home run. However, his efforts were not enough to turn the tide in favor of his team.

Gunnar Henderson also made notable contributions with solid fielding and consistent batting performance. Yet, despite these individual displays, Baltimore's inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities was evident as they left nine runners stranded on base.

Tigers Capitalize on Key Moments

The Detroit Tigers capitalized on crucial moments during the game. Their second inning saw them take an early lead with two runs scored off just one hit. The fifth inning added another run for Detroit through strategic hitting and base running.

Detroit's pitching staff played a significant role in maintaining their lead over Baltimore by effectively managing high-pressure situations and limiting further damage from opposing batters. The Orioles’ bullpen showed resilience but ultimately could not contain Detroit’s offense when it mattered most.
