Orioles' Ninth Inning Rally Falls Short Against Tigers at Oriole Park

First Inning


The game began with both teams unable to score in the first inning. The Orioles' defense held strong, preventing any hits from the Tigers. However, an error by Baltimore added some early tension but did not result in any runs for Detroit.


Second Inning


Detroit managed to break through in the second inning with a run scored on one hit. Despite this early lead by the Tigs, Baltimore's pitching kept further damage at bay.

Third Inning


Baltimore responded in kind during the third inning when they managed to get on board with one run and two hits. This effort was spearheaded by Gunnar Henderson's solid performance as he maintained his impressive batting average from previous games.


Fourth and Fifth Innings


The fourth inning saw another run from Detroit as they continued to apply pressure on Baltimore’s pitchers. By the fifth inning, Detroit extended their lead significantly with three more runs off four hits, showcasing their offensive depth and ability to capitalize on opportunities.

Sixth and Seventh Innings


Both teams were held scoreless during these innings as pitchers from both sides tightened up their gameplay. For Baltimore, Seranthony Domínguez played a crucial role out of the bullpen maintaining his zero ERA across his appearances this season.


Eighth Inning


In an attempt to close down Detroit’s lead, Baltimore scored another run thanks again to strategic hitting that resulted in two more hits for them this inning alone – bringing hope back into Oriole Park fans’ hearts momentarily.


Ninth Inning
