The Pirates started strong in the first inning, scoring 2 runs on 3 hits. They continued to build momentum in the third inning with another surge of offense, adding 3 more runs on another set of 3 hits. By the end of the fifth inning, Pittsburgh had accumulated a total of 7 runs.

Pittsburgh's hitting statistics were remarkable throughout the game. The team achieved a batting average of .368 and an on-base percentage of .432. They also managed to hit for extra bases seven times and recorded one home run among their fourteen hits.

On defense, Pittsburgh was flawless with no errors committed during the game. Their fielding percentage stood at a perfect 1.000 as they executed all plays cleanly and efficiently.

Atlanta struggled offensively until late in the game but managed to score all five of their runs in a single eighth-inning rally off three hits. Despite this effort, it was not enough to overcome Pittsburgh's substantial lead.

Bailey Falter earned his third win for Pittsburgh by pitching effectively through seven innings while allowing only three earned runs and striking out four batters.

Ray Kerr took his first loss for Atlanta after giving up multiple early runs that set back any hopes for an Atlanta comeback later in playtime.

Looking ahead, fans can catch more action when these two teams meet again tomorrow evening at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The game is scheduled for May 25th at approximately eight o'clock PM Eastern Time and will be broadcasted live on BSSE network.
