The game began aggressively with the Pirates scoring 2 runs off of 3 hits in the first inning followed by another run in the second inning from an additional three hits. Despite not adding to their score in innings three through six, they managed to secure two more runs in the seventh inning and one final run in the ninth. Notably, Ke'Bryan Hayes stood out for his exceptional performance, boasting an impressive .750 batting average including a home run that contributed significantly to his team's efforts.

On defense, Ji Hwan Bae demonstrated flawless fielding alongside Mark Mathias and Ernny Ordonez who all maintained perfect fielding percentages throughout this intense game. From a pitching perspective, Roansy Contreras started on the mound for Pittsburgh but faced challenges against Detroit's hitters which reflected on his ERA of 5.4 over more than three innings pitched.

The Tigers matched up well against Pittsburgh's early lead by remaining scoreless until breaking through with two runs each during both third and fourth innings followed by single-run efforts in both sixth and eighth innings to level up against The Pirates' total score.

As fans look forward to future games hoping for wins that will improve their standings further into this season's campaign; attention now turns towards The Pirates' next challenge as they are set to host Baltimore Orioles at LECOM Park on March 25th at 6:05 PM EDT.
