Braxton Ashcraft took over for Skenes and continued where he left off by keeping Philadelphia hitters off balance throughout his outing—allowing just one additional hit across multiple innings while striking out six batters overall.


Philadelphia struggled offensively against such dominant performances from Pirate pitchers; however they did manage another base runner via walk but were unable convert any further opportunities due largely thanks again strong defensive efforts displayed behind plate courtesy Henry Davis who maintained perfect fielding percentage (.1000).

Seventh through Ninth Innings


In what proved decisive stretch final three frames - neither squad able break deadlock until eighth when Bryan Reynolds stepped up deliver clutch RBI single put Buccos ahead once more ultimately securing victory despite late push visitors ninth inning thwarted yet again stellar relief work bullpen anchored Braxton Ashcraft whose WHIP stood impressive mark (2:25).
