First Inning


Both teams started cautiously in the opening innings. The Pirates and Nats were unable to score any runs during this period. Pirates pitcher Bubba Chandler showcased his skills by keeping the Nats' hitters at bay with an impressive performance.


Sixth Inning


The sixth inning saw some action as the Nationals managed to put one run on the board thanks to two hits. However, Chandler's control over his pitches limited further damage and kept Pittsburgh within striking distance.

Eighth Inning


The turning point came in the eighth inning when Pittsburgh's bats came alive. A combination of strategic hitting led by Bryan Reynolds and Andrew McCutchen resulted in four runs for the Bucs. This offensive burst proved too much for Washington's defense, which struggled under pressure.
