First Inning

The game kicked off with an explosive start for the Big Red Machine. In the bottom half of the first inning, they managed to put up 2 runs on 4 hits, capitalizing on an error by Milwaukee's defense. This early offensive surge was spearheaded by Spencer Steer and TJ Friedl, who both contributed significantly to getting runners across home plate.

Second Inning

However, the Brew Crew responded swiftly in their next at-bat during the second inning. They scored twice on two hits to level things up at 2-2. Brady Singer took charge on the mound for Cincinnati but struggled slightly as he allowed these crucial runs that let Milwaukee back into contention.

Third Inning

In what turned out to be a pivotal third inning for Milwaukee, they managed another run which ultimately proved decisive in this low-scoring affair. Despite Singer's efforts and his respectable ERA of 5.4 from previous games showing promise initially—his performance couldn't prevent this additional run from crossing due to a well-timed hit by one of Milwaukee’s batters.

Middle Innings (Fourth through Sixth)

As we moved into middle innings four through six—the game saw no further scoring from either side despite several opportunities arising particularly for Cincinnati whose hitters like Connor Joe (.500 average) and Tyler Stephenson (.500 average) showed potential but couldn’t convert chances into scores against some tight pitching displayed by Brewer’s bullpen which kept them contained effectively throughout these frames.

Seventh through Ninth Innings

Heading towards closing stages—both teams’ bullpens showcased impressive control; notably Ian Gibaut maintained his perfect ERA while Scott Barlow also delivered strong relief work without conceding any more runs keeping hopes alive till last possible moment where unfortunately no breakthrough came forth resulting ultimately sealing fate favorably towards visitors instead leaving hometown fans yearning what might have been had few more breaks gone their way earlier perhaps altering outcome altogether given how close contest remained till very end indeed!
