The game began strongly for the White Sox as they scored two runs and recorded two hits without any errors in the first inning. Their performance fluctuated throughout the game, with notable moments including scoring one run in the fourth inning and two more runs in the sixth inning. The team managed to secure another run during the tenth inning, bringing their total runs to six. Across all innings, they accumulated eight hits and maintained a clean sheet with zero errors.

The White Sox's hitting statistics were modest but effective enough to clinch victory. They had a batting average of .216 and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .268 over 37 at-bats. Despite not hitting any home runs throughout the game, they managed to get three hits when runners were in scoring positions out of eleven attempts and drove in five runs overall.

On defense, their fielding was impeccable with no errors recorded and ten assists contributed by various players across different positions. This solid defensive performance was complemented by their pitching staff who kept pressure on Cardinals' hitters throughout.

The bullpen pitchers for the White Sox played a crucial role towards securing this win by not allowing any earned runs over 5.2 innings pitched while striking out seven batters faced from twenty-two batters faced (BF). The starting pitcher struggled slightly more but still managed to keep control over his portion of four-plus innings pitched before handing it over to his bullpen colleagues.

On the opposing side, The Cardinals made an impressive comeback attempt during their fifth inning where they scored all five of their total runs off three hits but couldn't maintain momentum against strong pitching from The White Sox bullpen thereafter.
