Chicago's Eloy Jiménez contributed significantly with one hit and one run batted in (RBI). Meanwhile, Andrew Vaughn also made his presence felt by hitting a double and scoring one run. Collectively, Chicago recorded nine hits but struggled to capitalize on opportunities with runners in scoring position.

On defense and pitching fronts for Chicago, John Brebbia took responsibility for two earned runs over his relief appearance which ultimately led to him being tagged with his third loss of the season. The bullpen allowed only two additional runs but couldn't contain Baltimore's offense effectively enough to secure a win.

Baltimore’s Yennier Cano played an instrumental role from their bullpen by securing his third win despite allowing some pressure situations created by White Sox hitters. Craig Kimbrel closed out successfully earning his eleventh save without giving up any further ground.

Defensively both teams committed one error each; however it was clear that timely hitting made all difference especially during critical moments like fifth inning where Orioles capitalized better than White Sox did earlier same frame
