On the pitching side, Drew Thorpe delivered an outstanding performance as he clinched another win for his season tally making it three wins so far. The Marlins tried to mount a comeback late in the game by scoring one run each during both seventh and ninth innings but fell short due to their inability to capitalize fully on their seven hits throughout nine innings.
