On the pitching side, Garrett Crochet delivered as starting pitcher with an earned run average (ERA) of 4.5 over four innings pitched, striking out five batters but allowing five hits which contributed to his WHIP standing at 2.0. Michael Soroka from bullpen faced challenges as he recorded an ERA of 6.0 after conceding two earned runs which played a part in him being tagged with loss for this outing.


The Marlins fought valiantly throughout this contest as well; they managed nine hits leading to four runs scored across various innings including crucial two-run burst in seventh inning that kept them competitive till end but ultimately fell short against disciplined approach from White Sox pitchers who maintained collective ERA of 4.5 across eight innings pitched while striking out nine batters overall showcasing depth within their bullpen despite facing adversity.
