White Sox's Struggle Continues as Rangers Secure Narrow Victory

The White Sox managed to gather only five hits throughout the game and committed one error. Their scoring efforts were concentrated in the third and ninth innings, where they scored one run in each. Despite their attempts to rally, their hitting statistics reflected a challenging game with an overall batting average of .156 and an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of .469. The team left nine runners on base and had six at-bats with runners in scoring position but succeeded only once.


Andrew Benintendi stood out for the White Sox by driving in one run and posting a batting average of .250 for the game, including a significant hit that contributed to their limited offensive output. Eloy Jiménez also made his presence felt with a batting average of .250 and contributed to keeping hopes alive for the White Sox.

On the pitching side, Garrett Crochet started for Chicago but struggled through four innings, allowing two earned runs which contributed to his ERA standing at 4.5 after this outing. Tanner Banks from the bullpen also pitched four innings but ended up with an ERA of 4.5 as well.


The Texas Rangers capitalized early by scoring two runs in the first inning and added another run in the eighth inning to secure their victory. Their pitchers managed to keep White Sox hitters at bay most of the time, highlighted by limiting them to just one successful hit out of six attempts with runners in scoring position.
