In a display of sheer dominance, the Chicago White Sox, despite their daunting 32-109 season record, dismantled the Baltimore Orioles, who boasted a significantly better 81-60 standing. The White Sox's offense was on full display as they amassed an impressive total of 15 hits during the game. This offensive onslaught was particularly evident in the fourth inning when they turned three hits into three runs and again in the fifth inning with two more runs from another trio of hits. Their persistence paid off handsomely in the ninth inning when they added two final runs to their tally from two hits, cementing their win.

Nicholas Lopez and Andrew Vaughn emerged as key figures for the White Sox. Lopez had an outstanding performance, hitting .750 including a home run and driving one run home. Similarly, Vaughn made significant contributions by hitting .400 with a home run and one RBI to his name. Their efforts were crucial in propelling Chicago to victory.
