First Inning

The opening inning saw both teams struggling to make an impact, as neither the White Sox nor the Twins managed to score. The Sox had two hits but failed to convert them into runs, while Davis Martin kept the Twinkies at bay with solid pitching.

Second Inning

The second inning was pivotal for the White Sox as they exploded offensively. Andrew Benintendi and Miguel Vargas were instrumental in this surge, contributing significantly to a six-run inning that set the tone for the rest of the game. This offensive burst was crucial in establishing an early lead that proved insurmountable for Minnesota.

Middle Innings

As play continued into innings three through six, both teams' defenses tightened up considerably. The South Siders maintained their lead despite not adding any more runs during this stretch. Meanwhile, Luis Robert Jr.'s defensive prowess helped keep Minnesota from closing the gap significantly.

Seventh and Eighth Innings

In these innings, each team managed to add one run apiece. For Chicago, it was Brooks Baldwin who made his mark by driving in a run during his appearance at bat in the eighth inning. On Minnesota's side, they capitalized on some well-timed hits but could not muster enough offense against Chicago’s bullpen led by Jordan Leasure and Tyler Alexander.

Ninth Inning

The final inning saw no additional scoring from either side as both bullpens effectively shut down any further offensive attempts. With strong pitching performances throughout and timely hitting early on, Chicago secured their victory over Minnesota convincingly.
