The Brooklyn Nets started strong, outscoring the Bulls in the first quarter with a two-point lead. However, as the game progressed, they struggled to maintain their momentum. Despite having more assists (27) than their opponents and shooting an impressive 48 percent from the field compared to the Bulls' 44 percent, turnovers proved costly for the home team. The Nets turned over the ball 18 times which led to 26 points for Chicago.

Brooklyn's efficiency on two-point attempts was notable as they shot at a high percentage of 57 percent but couldn't replicate this success beyond the arc or from free throw line where they shot just under 38 percent and approximately 79 percent respectively. On defense, they managed to block seven shots but were outrebounded by Chicago who grabbed a total of fifty rebounds over Brooklyn's forty-five.

The Bulls capitalized on their opportunities scoring twenty points off second-chance attempts and twenty-six points off turnovers. Their bench contributed significantly with twenty-three bench points while maintaining better control of possession evidenced by only ten turnovers throughout four quarters.

In terms of individual performances for The Nets, their ability to distribute was evident as they surpassed The Bulls' assist count by seven but this wasn't enough to secure victory on home court where both teams had equal amounts of timeouts remaining by endgame.
