In an international showcase of basketball talent, the Brooklyn Nets faced off against the Cleveland Cavaliers on foreign soil. Despite a valiant effort that saw them outrebound their opponents with a total of 53 rebounds and contribute a solid bench performance scoring 58 points, the Nets fell short. The team's efficiency rating stood at 89 compared to the Cavaliers' more robust rating of 122.

The Nets struggled early on, trailing behind after each quarter and failing to ever take the lead throughout the game. Their shooting percentages were respectable but not enough to overcome their rivals; they shot 45 percent from field goals and an impressive 53 percent from two-point range. From beyond the arc, however, they only managed a modest success rate of around 30 percent.

Brooklyn's defense had difficulty containing Cleveland's offense which was evident by allowing them to score at will inside paint where they scored a total of 34 points. Additionally, turnovers proved costly for Brooklyn as they committed a total of seventeen which led directly to fourteen points for Cleveland.

One bright spot for Brooklyn was their performance in offensive rebounds grabbing nine compared to twelve by Cleveland; this hustle allowed them second-chance opportunities resulting in eight additional points for their side. However, despite these efforts and scoring forty-two points in an explosive fourth quarter rally it wasn't enough as time ran out on any potential comeback bid by Brooklyn.
