Nets Soar Past Hawks at Barclays Center in High-Scoring Affair

In a display of offensive firepower, the Brooklyn Nets dominated the Atlanta Hawks with a final score of 124-97. The Nets improved their season record to 23-36, while the Hawks fell to 26-33.

The game at Barclays Center saw the Nets take control early on, setting the pace with a strong first quarter and maintaining their lead throughout. The home team's scoring was relentless, as they put up more than 30 points in three out of four quarters. A particularly impressive third quarter saw them rack up 38 points, effectively putting the game out of reach for their opponents.


Brooklyn's shooting was exceptional; they hit an impressive 51 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 48 percent from beyond the arc. Their long-range shooting prowess was on full display as they drained 22 three-pointers over the course of the game. This sharpshooting contributed significantly to their total tally and showcased their ability to spread out Atlanta's defense.

The Nets also excelled in ball distribution and playmaking, racking up a total of 30 assists which speaks volumes about their teamwork and fluidity on offense. They were equally effective in capitalizing on turnovers, scoring 25 points off Atlanta's mistakes.


Defensively, Brooklyn held firm too, limiting Atlanta to just under half-court success with only a 43 percent field goal rate for the visitors. The defensive effort by Brooklyn was highlighted by six steals and four blocks that helped stifle any momentum that Atlanta tried to build.

The bench played a crucial role in this victory as well; contributing an outstanding total of 45 bench points showed depth and versatility within Brooklyn’s roster.
