The Brooklyn Nets entered the Wells Fargo Center with determination but found themselves outpaced by a vigorous Philadelphia squad. Despite their efforts, the Nets were unable to secure a lead greater than three points and spent just over one minute and forty-four seconds ahead in the game. The team's efficiency rating stood at ninety compared to their opponent's higher mark of one hundred twenty-nine.

Offensively, Brooklyn struggled from beyond the arc, converting only twenty-six percent of their three-point attempts into nine successful shots. Their field goal percentage was also lower than desired at thirty-nine percent. However, they did manage to make seventy-six percent of their free throws and scored forty points inside the paint.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with six blocks each; however, it was on rebounds where the disparity became evident. The Nets gathered forty-seven rebounds—five less than their average—while allowing sixty-seven to Philadelphia. This included only four offensive rebounds for Brooklyn compared to thirteen for their opponents.

The bench contributed twenty-four points for Brooklyn but was overshadowed by Philadelphia's bench which doubled that output with forty-eight points. Furthermore, turnovers proved costly for both sides as they each gave up possession thirteen times leading directly to sixteen points off turnovers for Brooklyn and thirteen for Philadelphia.

Despite these challenges, there were moments where Brooklyn showed resilience; they had an unanswered run scoring nine consecutive points before being halted by Philly’s ten-point streak later on in play.
