The home crowd of 20,235 witnessed the Bulls start slowly but pick up pace as the game progressed. Despite their efforts and a strong third and fourth quarter where they scored 32 points each, they couldn't overcome the deficit created by their initial lag in performance. The Magic maintained a consistent scoring pattern throughout all four quarters with at least 23 points each period, which contributed to their victory.

The Bulls' defense managed to block three shots and steal the ball ten times from their opponents. However, it was not enough to stop the Magic's offense that saw them leading for over 38 minutes of game time and achieving a biggest lead of 20 points. The home team also drew more fouls than their adversaries (22 compared to Orlando's 21) but failed to capitalize on these opportunities as effectively as they might have hoped.

Offensively for the Bulls, field goal attempts were equal to that of Orlando at 79 each; however, Chicago's field goal percentage was lower at approximately 44 percent compared to Orlando's near 48 percent. From beyond the arc, both teams had similar success rates with Chicago hitting ten out of twenty-nine attempts while Orlando made eleven out of thirty-four.

In terms of bench contribution, there was a stark contrast between both sides. The Magic bench added an impressive total of fifty points whereas Chicago’s reserves could only muster eight points throughout the encounter.
