The Bulls came out strong in the first quarter, putting up an impressive 37 points to the Suns' 22. The momentum continued into the second quarter as they added another 29 points to their tally. However, after halftime, the game's pace shifted slightly with Chicago scoring 24 and then closing out with just 23 points in the final quarter. Despite their efforts and leading for over forty-three minutes of game time with a substantial lead peaking at twenty-three points, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Chicago's offensive effort was notable; they shot an effective field goal percentage of fifty-six percent while sinking fourteen three-pointers at thirty-eight percent accuracy. Inside scoring was also dominant for them as they made fifty-two points in paint from sixty-three percent shooting on such attempts. Their bench contributed nineteen points to their total score.

On defense, however, there were challenges as they allowed one hundred fifteen points against them and had an efficiency rating of one hundred twenty-one point seven eighteen per one hundred possessions defensively. They managed four blocks and six steals throughout the contest but couldn't contain Phoenix's offense which boasted a higher efficiency rating.

The Bulls' rebounding was strong with fifty-seven total rebounds; fourteen were offensive giving them seventeen second-chance points from those opportunities. They also took care of possession well with only ten turnovers compared to Phoenix's seven and maintained an assists-turnover ratio of two point five.
