The Bulls showcased their tenacity throughout, leading for a total of 21:44 minutes and achieving their biggest lead of eight points. Despite this effort, it was not enough to secure victory in New York City.

The Chicago team's offensive performance was highlighted by their impressive points in the paint tallying up to 70 on a remarkable shooting percentage of 65 percent from that area. Their overall field goal percentage stood at an efficient rate of 48 percent with two-point shots falling at an even higher clip of 59 percent. Defensively, the Bulls were active on the court racking up fifteen steals but could only muster three blocks against their opponents. They pulled down forty-six rebounds in total – twenty-nine defensive and fifteen offensive – contributing significantly to maintaining possession which is evident from their one hundred five possessions throughout the game.

On offense, assists were distributed effectively among players with twenty-five assists recorded during playtime; this teamwork led them towards scoring eighteen points off turnovers caused by New York Knicks' mistakes. However, ball security was an issue as they turned over possession twelve times themselves.
