The Bulls started off slow in the first quarter, trailing with only 14 points compared to the Magic's commanding 31 points. However, they picked up momentum in the second quarter by adding an impressive 30 points to their tally. The third quarter saw them continue this trend with another solid performance of 28 points but it wasn't enough to close in on the lead established by their opponents early on. The fourth quarter concluded with the Bulls scoring 26 points but ultimately falling short.

Despite their loss, there were notable performances from the Bulls' roster. They shot an efficient field goal percentage of fifty-one percent and were particularly effective inside, converting sixty percent of their attempts in paint and totaling forty-four paint points. From beyond the arc though, they struggled somewhat as they made just six out of twenty attempts resulting in thirty percent shooting from three-point range.

On defense, Chicago managed five blocks and seven steals but couldn't contain Orlando's offense which put up one hundred thirteen points against them. The team also had trouble maintaining possession as evidenced by their twenty-one turnovers which led to eleven points for Orlando.

Orlando's bench outscored Chicago's reserves forty-three to twenty which contributed significantly to their win along with a higher total rebound count at forty-nine compared to Chicago's forty-three rebounds. Moreover, Orlando capitalized on turnovers more effectively than Chicago did; scoring twenty-eight points off turnovers while allowing only eleven.
