Bulls Narrowly Miss Victory in Overtime at Madison Square Garden

In a closely contested match at Madison Square Garden, the Chicago Bulls fell just short against the New York Knicks, with a final score of 111-113. This result moves the Bulls to a 22-34 record for the season, while the Knicks improve to 37-18. Despite a spirited comeback that forced overtime, the Bulls couldn't clinch the win in an intense battle that saw numerous lead changes and ties throughout.

Key Performances on Both Sides


The game was marked by standout performances from both teams. The Chicago Bulls showcased their depth with six players blocking shots and another six making steals, contributing to a total of 24 assists. Their effort on rebounds was notable as well, grabbing 64 in total with an impressive split between offensive (11) and defensive rebounds (42). The team's three-point shooting was also significant; they made 19 out of 48 attempts.


Josh Giddey led the way for the Bulls with an impressive double-double, scoring 27 points and securing 16 rebounds along with four assists. Nikola Vucevic also had a strong presence inside, contributing 21 points and nine rebounds. On defense, Zach Collins made his presence felt with two steals and one block.


On the other side of the court, The New York Knicks capitalized on fast break opportunities to score 17 points and were effective in paint scoring as well, tallying up to 48 points from close range. Their defensive efforts were highlighted by seven blocks and ten steals which played a crucial role in maintaining their lead through most of the game.
