First Quarter

The game began with both teams displaying strong offensive capabilities. The Cavaliers took an early lead with a score of 28 points, while the Nuggets trailed closely behind with 24 points. Jamal Murray was instrumental for Denver, contributing significantly to their scoring efforts.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Denver found its rhythm and outscored Cleveland by one point. The Nugs managed to put up 35 points compared to the Cavs' 34. Zeke Nnaji's performance stood out as he maintained a perfect two-point shooting percentage and added valuable rebounds.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw Denver taking control of the game momentarily by scoring an impressive 38 points against Cleveland's 26. Tim Hardaway Jr.'s contribution was crucial during this period as he added key assists and scored efficiently from beyond the arc.

Fourth Quarter

However, what went wrong for Denver Nuggets became evident in the final quarter when they could only muster up 11 points compared to Cleveland's decisive push of 25 points. Despite Peyton Watson’s efforts on defense with his steals and rebounds, it wasn't enough to hold back Donovan Mitchell and his team from clinching victory.

This matchup highlighted several turning points that favored Cleveland, including their superior rebounding which gave them more second-chance opportunities throughout the game. The Wine and Gold capitalized on these chances effectively which played a significant role in determining this game's outcome.
