Can the Golden State Warriors Maintain Their Home Court Dominance?

The Golden State Warriors, with a record of 19-22, showcased their offensive capabilities at Chase Center, outscoring the Atlanta Hawks 134-112. The Hawks, now standing at 18-26, struggled to keep pace despite a strong second quarter.

In front of a full house at the Chase Center in San Francisco, the home team displayed an impressive shooting performance. The Warriors shot an outstanding 56 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 48 percent from beyond the arc. Their efficiency was not just limited to shooting; they also dominated inside with 62 points in the paint compared to Atlanta's 42.

Golden State's bench made a significant impact by contributing a substantial 61 bench points. This depth proved too much for Atlanta whose bench added only 22 points. Furthermore, Golden State capitalized on turnovers scoring an impressive total of 22 points off turnovers while limiting Atlanta to just nine.

Defensively, the Warriors were formidable as well; they blocked nine shots and contained Atlanta's fast break opportunities allowing only four successful attempts out of seven. The defensive effort was complemented by collecting more rebounds than their opponents (55 against Hawks' 52), which included securing three more offensive rebounds that helped maintain possession and control of the game.

Atlanta did have moments where they shined – particularly during their most unanswered run where they scored ten consecutive points without reply from Golden State – but it wasn't enough to turn the tide in their favor. Despite shooting decently from two-point range (49 percent) and fairing well at free throws (77 percent), it was not sufficient against Golden State’s superior offensive night.

Looking ahead for fans of the Golden State Warriors: The team will next face off against Sacramento Kings at Chase Center on January 25th at 7:00 PM Pacific Time. This matchup can be viewed nationally on TNT channel number two hundred forty-five or locally on NBCS-BA channel number six hundred ninety-six.
