The game started evenly with both teams ending the first quarter tied at 27 points each. However, the second quarter saw Golden State struggle to keep pace as they only managed to add 15 points to their tally compared to Dallas's 21. The third quarter witnessed a resurgence from Golden State as they scored an impressive 28 points but still found themselves trailing by one point as Dallas matched their intensity with another strong performance of scoring 28 points.

In terms of individual statistics for Golden State, their offensive efforts were led by field goals made on 40 percent shooting and three-pointers made at a rate of 32 percent. Despite these efforts, it was not enough to overcome Dallas's more efficient shooting night which included an impressive field goal percentage of 54 and two-point shooting at an astonishing rate of 69 percent.

Defensively, both teams were active around the rim; however, it was clear that Dallas had the upper hand with a total block count reaching double digits at 13 blocks compared to just three from Golden State. On top of that, while both teams ended up turning over possession seventeen times each during this intense matchup, it was evident that turnovers hurt Golden State more as they only managed to convert these into eleven points whereas Dallas capitalized significantly better scoring twenty-one points off turnovers.

Rebounding was another key aspect where both sides showed tenacity; however once again it was slightly edged out by Dallas who gathered forty-seven rebounds over forty-two from Golden State. This small margin helped contribute towards their victory on this occasion.
