Did the Warriors' Paint Domination Seal Victory Over Hornets?

The Golden State Warriors, with a record of 39-34, emerged victorious against the Charlotte Hornets, who now stand at 18-55. The final score read 115-97 in favor of the visiting team.

The game at Spectrum Center saw the Warriors assert their dominance early on. They led for a substantial 44:32 minutes and built an impressive largest lead of 23 points. The third quarter was particularly decisive for Golden State as they racked up an astonishing 39 points during that period alone. This offensive surge was part of why they were able to maintain control throughout most of the contest.


Golden State's shooting efficiency was on full display as they hit 54 percent from the field and an impressive 65 percent from two-point range. Their prowess inside was further highlighted by scoring a remarkable 64 points in the paint out of their total tally, showcasing their ability to penetrate Charlotte's defense effectively.

On defense, Golden State also made its presence felt with five blocks and seven steals contributing to their overall effort. They managed to keep Charlotte at bay by limiting them to just a 40 percent field goal percentage and a mere three-point shooting success rate of only 26 percent.


Rebounding played a significant role in this matchup; Golden State outrebounded Charlotte with a total rebound count of 52 compared to Charlotte's 47. Of these rebounds for Golden State, eleven were on the offensive glass which helped them create second-chance opportunities resulting in thirteen additional points.

Contributions came from all over as Golden State's bench chipped in with thirty-five bench points while maintaining high energy levels throughout each quarter. The team also displayed excellent ball movement ending up with thirty-five assists which is indicative of their unselfish playstyle and teamwork.


Charlotte did have moments where they shined despite being unable to keep pace overall. They drew nineteen fouls leading to twenty-four free throw attempts but could only convert seventeen into points reflecting a free throw percentage of seventy-one percent which wasn't enough against such stiff opposition.


As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for when the Golden State Warriors will take on San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center located in San Antonio, TX on March thirty-first at four o'clock PM Pacific Time Zone (PDT).
