The game started off competitive, with both teams exchanging leads three times and tying once. However, as time progressed, it became evident that Sacramento was gaining ground. The Kings led for over 45 minutes of playtime and established a commanding lead of up to 26 points.


Golden State's efforts were spearheaded by their bench players who contributed a significant 46 points to their total score. Despite this effort from the reserves and leading briefly by three points early on, it wasn't enough to sustain them through all four quarters. The team's efficiency rating stood at 90 compared to Sacramento's superior rating of 143.

The Warriors managed to block three shots and steal five times during play but struggled in other areas. They drew fouls on seventeen occasions but also turned over possession sixteen times which translated into twelve points for Sacramento off turnovers. On offense, they shot at a rate of forty-one percent from field goals and thirty-one percent from beyond the arc while making seventy-eight percent of free throws.


Defensively, they had difficulty containing Sacramento's fast-paced attack which resulted in twelve fast break points for the home team out of ten attempts – double what Golden State could muster from five attempts. Additionally, despite pulling down fifty-three rebounds (eight offensive), they couldn't capitalize effectively on second-chance opportunities scoring only eight second-chance points from five attempts.

On contrast, Sacramento excelled with an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.5 showcasing better ball control and teamwork leading to twenty-eight assists overall; they also capitalized efficiently on second-chance opportunities scoring twenty-five second-chance points out of seventeen attempts.
