Golden State Warriors' Splash Brothers Doused by Houston Rockets' Stellar Defense

The Golden State Warriors faced a setback in their playoff series against the Houston Rockets, with a 107-115 loss at Chase Center. The Warriors now stand at 48-34, while the Rockets improved to 52-30. Despite a strong third quarter where the Dubs scored 36 points, they couldn't maintain momentum against H-Town's relentless defense.

Warriors' Key Performances


Stephen Curry was once again pivotal for the Warriors, contributing 29 points and grabbing seven rebounds. However, his efforts were not enough to overcome the Rockets’ defensive pressure. Jimmy Butler III also made significant contributions with 27 points and eight assists, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the court.


Draymond Green added depth to Golden State’s defense with three blocks and five rebounds but struggled offensively with only eight points. Brandin Podziemski chipped in with ten points and seven rebounds off the bench, providing some much-needed support.

Rockets' Defensive Mastery


The Rockets demonstrated their defensive prowess by forcing Golden State into committing 17 turnovers throughout the game. Alperen Sengun led Red Nation’s charge on both ends of the floor, contributing significantly to their total of twelve steals.


Houston capitalized on these opportunities by scoring twenty-two points off turnovers. Their ability to control possessions was evident as they maintained a lead for over forty-three minutes of playtime.
