At Barclays Center, the Pacers started strong with an impressive first half performance that saw them scoring 31 points in each of the opening quarters. However, despite maintaining a lead for over 20 minutes and achieving their biggest lead of 14 points during the game, they couldn't hold off a determined Nets side. The Pacers showcased their offensive capabilities by putting up an impressive number of points inside the paint with a total of 60 and converting fast break opportunities efficiently at a rate of 73 percent for an additional 21 points.

Indiana's defense was also noteworthy as they managed to block nine shots while stealing possession eight times from their opponents. The team's effort on rebounds was commendable as well; they grabbed a total of 50 rebounds -19 offensive and 26 defensive- contributing significantly to their overall game plan.

On an individual level, several Pacers players stepped up throughout the contest. Their shooting accuracy from two-point range was notable at a solid rate of 55 percent success on attempts. From beyond the arc though, they struggled somewhat with only ten three-pointers made out of thirty-eight attempts resulting in just above one-quarter efficiency from long range.

The bench played its part too by contributing thirty-six points to Indiana's cause but ultimately it wasn't enough to secure victory against Brooklyn who had slightly better efficiency across various aspects including field goal percentage (48 percent) and true shooting percentage (58 percent).
