Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Houston continued to dominate offensively, adding another 36 points. Despite a strong effort from Pascal Siakam of Indiana, who contributed significantly with his scoring and rebounding prowess, the Pacers managed only 23 points in this period. By halftime, Houston had extended their lead considerably.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, Bennedict Mathurin stepped up for Indiana with impressive shooting accuracy. His efforts helped narrow down some of Houston's advantage as he scored efficiently from beyond the arc and inside plays. However, despite Mathurin's contribution and a total of 30 points scored by Indiana in this quarter alone, they still trailed behind due to Houston's consistent scoring.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw a spirited comeback attempt by Indiana as they outscored Houston by putting up an impressive 41 points. Key plays included fast breaks and three-point shots that kept them within striking distance of H-Town’s lead. Jay Huff also made his presence felt defensively with crucial blocks that energized his teammates.

Despite these efforts and reducing turnovers significantly compared to earlier quarters—only committing nine throughout—the gap created earlier proved too large to overcome fully against Red Nation’s resilient defense which held firm till full-time resulting in a final scoreline review favoring Houston at 126-119.
