First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams neck-and-neck, each scoring 34 points. The Pacers displayed strong teamwork with Tyrese Haliburton leading assists, contributing significantly to their early performance. However, the Grizzlies matched their intensity with efficient shooting and fast breaks.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, the Grizzlies began to pull away slightly by outscoring the Pacers 31-26. Memphis capitalized on turnovers from Indiana's side, converting them into crucial points off turnovers that widened their lead.

Third Quarter

As play resumed after halftime, Jay Huff of Indiana made his presence felt defensively with three blocks but struggled offensively due to turnovers. Despite his efforts and those of his teammates like Bennedict Mathurin who added depth in scoring from beyond the arc (38 percent), they couldn't close the gap as Memphis maintained control.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw an impressive display of paint dominance by Memphis who scored a total of 60 points inside throughout this matchup. Their ability to maintain possession effectively limited opportunities for any significant comeback attempts by Indiana despite Jarace Walker's commendable offensive efficiency (80 percent field goals).

Overall team statistics highlighted some key aspects: The Pacers managed a respectable field goal percentage at 49 percent but were hindered by higher turnover rates compared to their opponents which ultimately impacted their overall performance negatively.
