The Grizzlies started strong out of the gates with an impressive first quarter tallying 33 points to the Kings' 18. However, momentum shifted as Sacramento responded with a surge in the second quarter scoring 29 points to Memphis's 17. The home team's efforts were led by their ability to draw fouls and capitalize on free throws, boasting a solid conversion rate of seventy-five percent from the line.

Despite trailing behind for most of the game duration after their initial burst, Memphis showed resilience. Their bench contributed significantly with twenty-five points. The Grizzlies also demonstrated defensive tenacity by accumulating eleven steals and maintaining pressure which resulted in fourteen turnovers by Sacramento.

Offensively though, Memphis struggled from within the arc as they only managed to convert thirty-nine percent of their two-point attempts. However, they found some success beyond it hitting thirteen out of thirty-six three-point shots for a thirty-six percent completion rate.

The Kings' offense proved more efficient overall; they shot fifty-one percent from field goal range and seventy percent on two-pointers while also dominating inside with fifty-six paint points compared to Memphis's thirty-four. Additionally, Sacramento capitalized on turnovers scoring twenty-two points off those opportunities.

Memphis did have moments where they shined brighter than their opponents – leading by as much as fifteen points during one stretch – but it wasn't enough to maintain control over Sacramento who had an eleven-minute advantage in time leading.

Looking ahead for The Grizzlies fans is another opportunity to rally behind their team when they host Cleveland Cavaliers at FedExForum located at 191 Beale Street in Memphis TN (zip code:38103), USA. This encounter is scheduled for February 1st at 7:00 PM local time and will be broadcasted on BSSE channel six hundred forty-nine for home viewers and BSOH channel six hundred sixty for those following away coverage.
