The Memphis Grizzlies entered the court with determination, opening their account with a solid first-quarter performance, scoring 24 points. However, they found themselves trailing as the home team put up an impressive 33 points. The second quarter saw a similar pattern, with the Grizzlies adding another 22 to their tally but still unable to close in on the Knicks who extended their lead by scoring 37 points.

Despite being behind, Memphis showed no signs of surrendering. They came out strong after halftime and managed to put up an impressive 28 points in the third quarter. Their resilience was further displayed in a high-scoring final quarter where they amassed an outstanding total of 39 points.

The offensive efforts were led by sharpshooting from beyond the arc; Memphis drained an exceptional total of 21 three-pointers at a remarkable rate of fifty-seven percent accuracy. This long-range bombardment contributed significantly to their overall field goal percentage which stood at fifty-one percent after hitting forty-one shots from eighty attempts.

Inside play also featured prominently for Memphis as they fought hard in the paint securing forty points from close-range efforts. Despite these valiant offensive displays and having thirty-three assists reflecting good ball movement, turnovers proved costly for them as they gave away possession eighteen times throughout this intense matchup.

Defensively though, there were challenges that could not be overcome easily by Memphis. They managed five blocks and four steals but struggled to contain New York's offense which seemed unstoppable on its home court. The defensive rating for Memphis was calculated at over one hundred twenty-seven indicating room for improvement on that end of the floor.

On individual performances for Memphis: bench players stepped up significantly contributing fifty-four bench points while starters battled tirelessly against a formidable opponent.

Looking ahead after this tough encounter against New York Knicks, fans can mark their calendars for another exciting game when Chicago Bulls visit FedExForum in Memphis on February 8th at 7:00 PM local time (Central Time).
