The game at Ball Arena saw the Grizzlies struggling to keep up with the Nuggets' pace. Despite putting up a fight, they were unable to secure a lead at any point during the match. The team's effort was evident in their statistics: they managed to block nine shots and matched that number with steals. Their assist tally stood at 25 for the game, showcasing their attempt to play a collaborative offense.

Memphis showed resilience in rebounding, grabbing a total of 54 rebounds with an offensive contribution of 17 rebounds which provided them second-chance opportunities resulting in 19 second-chance points. However, this was not enough as they shot only 39 percent from the field compared to Denver's more efficient shooting percentage of 53.

One area where the Grizzlies did excel was inside the paint where they scored 42 points but still fell short of Denver's paint production by ten points. From beyond the arc, Memphis struggled significantly; converting only eleven out of forty-four three-point attempts which amounted to a mere twenty-five percent success rate.

On defense, Memphis found it difficult to contain Denver's fast-paced offense which resulted in them conceding ten fast break points and an overall defensive rating that indicated room for improvement. The efficiency on both ends of the court did not favor Memphis as reflected by their efficiency game score standing at eighty compared to Denver's one hundred twenty-two point one.
